BioPak Jaw Diagnostic System

The BioPak is a complete system that records a range of parameters of the stomatognathic system including the function of the mandible and muscles of mastication.
The information obtained by the system helps diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), sleep disorders and craniofacial pain. It can be used for restorative, orthodontic, denture, implant and occlusal reconstruction patient evaluation.
Biometric technology gives the doctor objective data from which to make decisions and measure documented treatment results.

BioJVA™

The BioJVA analyses vibrations of the temporomandibular joints.
Joint Vibration Analysis, a device enabling the registering of different vibrations, arising in the joint when in moving. Their intensity, duration, frequency and profile are the objective characteristics of different pathologic processes in the temporomandibular joint.
This short, non-invasive process helps diagnose joint problems and the appropriate treatment options. JVA is designed to be recorded by trained staff in less than 2 minutes, and interpreted by the clinician.

BioEMG III ™

The BioEMG is a surface electromyography unit that can help evaluate mandibular and masticatory muscle groups at rest or in function. The unique design uses 8 channels and exclusive programmable software with an extremely high noise reduction ratio.
BioEMG objectively measures the actions and reactions of the muscles of the head and neck to provide the clinician with the ability to test treatments and bite positions before finalising the treatment position. Muscle activity is categorised based on the quality and quantity of their behaviour to show which are resting properly or hyperactive.

JT-3D Jaw Tracker

The JT-3D records incisor-point movements in three dimensions. The recorded data is used to receive valuable information about the functional state of the temporomandibular region as well as the possible deviations
A small magnet, attached to the front surfaces of the bottom front teeth, is tracked by an array of sensors to produce vertical, antero-posterior and lateral components of movement. It mounts simply, yet securely on your head, and provides an incredibly stable base for the sensors. This provides spectacular resolution even on the smallest of mandibular movements.

M-Scan ™

The MScan is a portable electromyograph. The machine is hand-held and battery operated.
It is typically used to test the effectiveness of NTI appliance therapy on patients by recording information with and without the appliance.
It is reliable, inexpensive, and non-invasive and yields data immediately. The M-Scan is designed for data collection by a trained assistant.

TScan EMG Link

T-Scan® – BioEMG™ Integration Optional Add-on Software.
The T-Scan/BioEMG Integration software synchronizes the clinical data of T-Scan with the electromyographic data of BioResearch’s EMG unit. Together, they give a complete view of your patient’s bite. BioEMG measures muscular functions of the head and neck while the T-Scan shows occlusal contact timing and force distribution of teeth. This synchronization provides unparalleled evidence of what effect the occlusal contact arrangement is having on muscle function.
